Back to School Week Challenge — 24 May 2010 to 28 May 2010

The ATA is pleased to launch the Back to School Week Challenge a fundraising initiative in support of Compass Youth Education to give underprivileged young Aussies the advantages, happiness and opportunities in life that an education can bring.

Compass Youth Education is a charity organisation leveling the playing field for struggling Aussies. Ranging from Primary School right through to University, they help young Australians reach their full potential by providing funding for backpacks, textbooks, uniforms and school fees as well as dental and optical care. They make sure disadvantaged kids receive the things that most Australians take for granted in our own backyard.

The ATA is challenging its members to ignite their creativity and conduct fundraising activities during Back to School Week raising donations for Compass Youth Education to allow them to continue their excellent work. The ATA see’s this week as an opportunity for the industry as a whole to assist those in our community who are looking to improve themselves.

There will be a competition for ‘Best decorated Contact Centre, Most innovative theme, Meet the target of $20 per head and Sponsor a student for a year’. The winning centres will have their event profiled in the ATA newsletter. At the conclusion of the Back to School Week Challenge centres will be asked to forward their contribution direct to Compass Youth Education with 100% of the funds raised going directly to the children supported by Compass Youth Education.

We are asking centres to register by completing the sign-up form (follow the below link) and nominate your Campaign Coordinator. Your nominated Campaign Coordinator will then receive a confirmation pack including posters, fundraising ideas and donation envelopes for your tax deductible donations.

We encourage all our members to get involved and look forward to seeing how your centre contributes to this worthy cause.
